Who are you as a designer? What are your list of principles and ideas? What is your personal ethos and tenant? What are your policies?

One essential element of the manifesto is that it’s looking towards the future so you’re making a statement about who you are now but you’re also making a promise about what’s going to happen in the future

Maybe if you don’t like what is happening now, imagine something better for the change and aim towards this , so it is a statement as well

There is something of the incorrigible optimist about the manifestos. To make a manifesto is to imagine or hallucinate the Promised land, wherever that may be. It is in its own way a utopian project. - Alex Danchev, 2011

Futurism started in Italy, as the name suggests it was looking towards the future. It was embracing technology and it was its painting was full of dynamism sort of dynamic lines vibrant colors.Vorticism was primarily based in the uk and it’s a continuation and interpretation of the futurism

Futurism was also associated with controversial political views. Very fascism and some of the ideals and some of the things are considered quite controversial right now, but they were a statement of the political situation and ideas at the time.

Stockiest movement created by Charles Thompson which is a reaction to conceptual art . They don’t like the conceptual art and they wanted to go back to representational forms of art , proposing painting as the main medium and represent representational art rather than conceptual art.Dogme movement in film which was looking at film production and was proposing a more honest way of filming, so not official light was to be used. The film should be done with minimal cuts. but the way that they presented the manifesto was quite controversial.
